Installation of magnetic valves MAGDRAIN

Q5M-DB for floor drain with smaller hole

The new Q5M-DB valve has small dimensions Ф28 and Н58 mm. The flow rate is up to 19 liters / min. It is designed for floor siphons with a smaller opening than standard siphons from F31 to F40. The set also includes three seals of different sizes / 31-33 mm, 34-37 mm, 38-40 mm /. They are extremely easy to place on the valve before it is installed in the siphon.

Replacement of an existing drain

Universal disc for mounting valve Q-5 and valve G-50 on other models of floor siphons. Thanks to the universal disc, you can easily and quickly install the innovative MAGdrain valve in a different floor siphon model already built. Following the steps in the instructions will easily and quickly place it in the old floor siphon and you will take advantage of the full possibilities offered by the MAGdrain valves.

Dimensions of MAGdrain floor drain

Installation of MAGdrain floor drain

The MAGdrain floor siphon must be installed in a vertical position. Insert the pipe shaft exactly with the axis of the siphon / knee / to ensure the best draining effect. Sufficient sealant must be applied around the mouth of the pipe. The siphon must then be placed in it. The siphon grille should be slightly lower than the floor level / tiles /. Mortar or white cement should be used to fill gaps and holes in the floor. Do not obstruct the hardening process of the concrete for at least 24 hours. During this period, please avoid stepping on the siphon.

MAGdrain odor valve installation errors:

Odor solenoid valve is designed to stop bad odors from the sewer. It is placed in floor siphons – horn / horizontal / or straight / vertical /. Before placing the valve in the siphon, make sure that there is no S under the siphon. If there is one, remove it and then install the valve in the siphon! If you install the valve in the siphon and you have not removed the S-cat, the valve will not allow water to drain, as an air pocket is formed between the valve and the water column in the S-cat!

Use and maintenance of the MAGdrain valve:

The flow of the siphon is large enough – so you do not need to open the decorative grille under normal conditions. Clean the valve regularly to avoid layers that may interfere with its proper operation. The hairs in the collector are cleaned when the need arises. It is recommended to clean the floor siphon with disinfectant annually to prevent the development of bacteria. The valve may refuse to work properly if water mixed with a large amount of solid particles (sand, etc.) passes through it. If this happens, use plenty of clean water to wash the sand. In rare cases, the accumulation of dirt and sand can cause difficulty in the operation of the valve. Check that the valve is working properly after installation, remove the grille and hair collector. Turn the valve, holding it by the handle to remove it and clean it with water – if necessary! For cleaning and maintenance – clean the valve with warm water!

Cleaning the decorative grille of the siphon:

The use of cleaning tools or devices with milling or rubbing functions such as cleaning gloss, hard sponge or brush is not permitted. The use of a steam cleaning machine is prohibited, as the coating may be damaged after a rapid change in temperature. Only liquid detergents and microfiber towels are suitable for cleaning floor siphons. Follow the detergent manufacturers’ instructions.

Clean the siphon and valve REGULARLY!
